Our watershed programs have engaged hundreds of people in collaboratively planning watershed restoration in our local watersheds. By providing objective technical expertise in these forums, we help stakeholders become informed and empowered, which hopefully leads to balanced, nonpolitically-motivated decisions regarding watershed health. Priority projects listed in the plans to recover Steelhead trout are now being implemented. We have also established credible and working relationships with dozens of landowners, technical and regulatory staff, business people, residents and municipal staff.
We have also dedicated ourselves to:
- Developing and implementing voluntary watershed management plans in the region. These management plans provide the blueprint for stakeholders to pursue restoration and enhancement projects (For water-quality, water-quantity and habitat improvements) on a watershed-wide basis
- Helping stakeholders find resources to implement enhancement projects
- Expanding volunteer water-quality monitoring programs
