We have operated our salmon rearing project every year for the past 23 years. Juvenile King salmon are acclimated and released into the ocean. This process moves the fish up the predator chain, giving them a better chance of survival to adulthood, and bettering the populations available to recreational and commercial fishermen.
We are committed to:
- An annual rear-and-release of up to 140,000 Chinook salmon into Avila Bay
- Finding ways to expand our pen-rearing programs, such as rockfish enhancement
